Dr. Spencer Sechler, O.D.
Location: Chattanooga (Downtown), TN
Dr. Spencer Sechler is a native of Warren, Ohio. He attended the University of Akron and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the Honors College in 2012. He received his doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry with honors in 2016.

Dr. Sechler was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, the American Optometric Student Association, Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, Sports Vision Club, and represented his optometry school at the annual National Student Optometry Bowl in Seattle, Washington in 2015.
Dr. Sechler completed a residency in ocular disease and pathology at Southeast Eye Specialists in Chattanooga, TN in 2017. During his residency, he received extensive experience in referral based management of ocular disease, cataract pre/post-operative care, and glaucoma. His areas of interest include primary eye care, diagnosis and management of glaucoma, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Sechler is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and the Southeastern Tennessee Optometric Physician Association.
Dr. Sechler and his wife Laura, also an optometrist, currently live in Chattanooga. They enjoy crafting, woodworking, and repurposing furniture. In his free time, Dr. Sechler enjoys exercising, golfing, and watching basketball and football. He is excited to call Chattanooga his home and provide eyecare to the community.

Dr. Heather Sutton, O.D.
Location: Madison, Al
Dr. Heather Sutton is originally from Florence, Alabama and calls the Tennessee Valley home. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2010 and with honors from University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Optometry in 2014.

Dr. Sutton has had the privilege to serve the residents of North Alabama by providing quality comprehensive and medical eye care at both Davis Eye Care since 2014 & Heritage Eye Care since 2021.
Dr. Sutton treats each patient as family and prides herself on providing exceptional and compassionate comprehensive care while incorporating the latest technology to bring solutions tailored to each individual’s unique lifestyle. She is passionate about helping each patient obtain their best possible vision, ocular health and well being. Dr. Sutton is a lifelong learner and is excited to share the newest technology and research to help improve her patients’ vision, health, function and overall quality of life. She has training in Ocular Disease, Pediatrics, Primary Care, Low Vision, Geriatrics, Vision Therapy, and Specialty Contact Lens fitting; including multifocal contact lenses and myopia control.
In her spare time, she can be found engaging in one of her many hobbies and enjoying time with her husband, two young children & dogs.
Dr. Sutton looks forward to continuing to grow her family of patients at Davis Eye Care and Heritage Eye Care.

Dr. Megan Taylor, O.D.
Location: Madison, Al
Dr. Taylor graduated from the Ohio State University College of Optometry and completed her post graduate residency training in ocular disease at the Columbus and Chillicothe Ohio VA facilities. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and active in the North Alabama Optometric Association.

Her professional interests include treating ocular disease, vision therapy, pediatrics, and training Optometry students. It is her goal to make every encounter with her patients a pleasant one, while providing the highest quality of care for their eyes and vision.
In her free time she enjoys taking care of her two young boys and husband, volunteering at her church, and crocheting.

Dr. Cheryl Wiltse, O.D.
Location: Collegedale (Ooltewah), TN
Dr. Cheryl Wiltse is originally from Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences and a minor in Psychology in 2011. During her undergraduate schooling she also worked as an optician at a local optical. Dr. Wiltse then attended optometry school in Memphis at the Southern College of Optometry, where she graduated in 2015.

Dr. Wiltse’s goal is to make your eye care exceptional while creating a friendly, individualized experience. She has been in the Chattanooga area since 2016 and is now providing eye care in our Collegedale office.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. They love camping, cooking, the beach, and anything outdoors.

Dr. Chad Davis, O.D.
Location: Athens, Al
Dr. Davis is a native of Limestone County, Alabama. He was a student in the Athens City School system. He accepted a golf scholarship to attend Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee, and received the Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

His study then led to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry to complete the Doctor of Optometry degree program.
Dr. Davis provides patient care in Athens. He is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the AOA Contact Lens and Cornea section, and the AOA Sports Vision Section. He and his wife Brandy have 3 children, and spend their spare time raising a family.

Dr. Jacob Smith, O.D.
Location: Athens and Rogersville, Al
Dr. Smith attended Athens High School followed by four years at Auburn University culminating with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences. After Auburn, he attended Southern College of Optometry (SCO) to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2020.

While at Auburn, Dr. Smith received a Presidential Scholarship and a departmental scholarship from the College of Sciences and Mathematics. He was also recognized by the United Association as a National Scholar. He attended SCO on a Dean’s Endowed Scholarship for all four years.
n his spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys going on walks with his wife, Taylor, trying out new restaurants and recipes, and sitting down with a good book and coffee. God is central to their lives, so they seek opportunities for Bible study, prayer, and getting out and serving the community to His glory.
Dr. Smith’s goal is to provide exceptional eye care tailored to each patient, respecting, and catering to their needs as individuals. He believes eyes are only part of the whole person and aspires to make each patient encounter a highlight of the day of the visit.

Dr. Brandon Alderton, O.D.
Location: Huntsville, Al
Dr. Brandon Alderton was born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland where he worked alongside his father at their family’s optical. He attended Southern College of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2020. While at school, he met his wife, a Huntsville native, and they moved to
the area.

Dr. Alderton’s goal as an optometrist is to make every patient feel comfortable in the exam chair, all the while providing exceptional eye care. He aims to create a positive experience where each patient feels his/her problems were heard and needs were met to the fullest of our practice’s ability.
In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, baseball, collecting vinyl records, and playing board games with family and friends.

Dr. Claire Mowrer, O.D.
Location: Athens and Decatur, Al
Dr. Claire Mowrer was born and raised in Tullahoma, TN. She attended Harding University in Arkansas where she completed a bachelor’s degree in biology and mathematics and a master’s in business administration. She taught anatomy and physiology at Harding for a few years prior to optometry school.

She received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017 and earned the Dean’s Award of Excellence. She worked as a solo provider at a private practice near Birmingham prior to joining Pathway Eye in 2022.
Dr. Mowrer is committed to providing excellent and compassionate patient care. She takes the time to get to know her patients to best serve their visual needs and to monitor their ocular and systemic health. She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and their families. In addition to primary care, she is interested in specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Mowrer recently moved to the area with her husband. She enjoys staying active, spending time on the water, and crocheting.

Dr. Riley Camp, O.D.
Location: Decatur, Al
Dr. Riley Camp is a native of Decatur, Alabama. He graduated from Austin High School in 2014. He accepted a baseball scholarship to attend Southern Union Community College following high school. A year later he transferred to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He was a three year member of the Charger Baseball program and received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry, cum laude, in 2018.

He was awarded his doctorate degree with honors, from the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Optometry in 2022. Dr. Camp was a member of Beta Sigma Honors Society, American Optometric Student Association, Fellowship of Christian Optometrist, Private Practice Club, and served as an UABSO Student Ambassador. While at UAB, Dr. Camp received the Southern Council of Optometrist Clinical Excellence Award, Good-Lite Award for Excellence in Pediatric Optometry, and the Vision America/Dr. Rod Nowakowski Co-Management Award.
He and his wife, Mary Claire, currently reside in Hartselle, Alabama. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, golfing, hunting, attending bible study, spending time with his family, and volunteering in the community.
Dr. Camp’s passion is to provide quality and comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. He is proud to be “home” and is excited to serve the North Alabama area.
